For those who wanted to ask - the name of the village is Jambiani.
There are other nice places in the south, such as Kizimkazi.
Overall, my friend says that wherever you go in Zanzibar, it's paradise everywhere. And I agree.
So if you want to get my personal map of Zanzibar with the best places to explore, just comment MAP and I will send you the link
What is important to understand is that the infrastructure in the south is less developed. It's more challenging to rent a bike, call a taxi, etc.
This place is for a peaceful, almost deserted vacation.
The internet is good. The food and service are also good.
Of course, just like in the north of the island, there are activities available here:
- Snorkeling with dolphins
- Tour to the capital, Stone Town
- Tour to Jozani Forest
- Diving (from $110)
- Tours to local caves
- Visiting local villages
- The most famous local restaurant, The Rock
My friends highly praised snorkeling on the Blue Safari (starting from Kizimkazi).
Regarding diving, it is nice, but on Mnemba island on the north it was better for me.

Zanzibar is the pearl of Africa. Truly. I haven't experienced such tranquility in a long time. But more on that later. There is also a more active side, which we'll talk about today.
In the north of the island lies the main tourist village, Nungwi.
Best time to visit:
- December - February
- June - October
Advantages:
- Good beaches
- A wide range of hotels for every taste and budget
- Beach clubs
- A good selection of activities
Among them, the most popular are:
Snorkeling with dolphins (from $50)
Tour to the capital, Stone Town
Tour to Jozani Forest
Tour to Prison Island (from $135)
Diving (from $90)
The best diving spot is Mnemba Island. Definitely worth a visit.
I rented a bike and explored the island on my own. It cost about $50 for the whole day, including fuel.
A taxi from the airport costs around $40.
To the southern parts of the island, it's about $50.
The food in Zanzibar is simply amazing. Everything is always very fresh. But comparing to continental Africa, not cheap.
However, there are some downsides – it's quite noisy, and there are pushy vendors dressed as Maasai. I couldn't spend much time in Nungwi. I craved peace. I moved to the south of the island, and it exceeded all my expectations. I'll talk about that in the next reel.

From archives. This place is called Bezengi Wall. Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia
Kenya has always been associated with safaris for me, but never with coastal vacations. However, this was a misconception. Kenya has several interesting destinations, one of which is Lamu, a small Muslim town where there are no cars, but plenty of donkeys. It is very peaceful and serene here, with a sense of complete safety.
Just a 5-minute drive from Lamu is another village - Shela, which resembles a resort with beaches, cozy streets, and expensive hotels. The internet is not bad! I recommend staying here for 3-4 days.
What to do in Lamu?
- Dhow Trip at Sunset
- Trip to Shela
- Visit the Takwa Ruins
- Visit the Donkey Sanctuary
- Water activities
If you are in Kenya, be sure to visit this place.

I really enjoy looking at travel from a different perspective. I like visiting places that I’ve never seen in travel guides. Every time, it feels like a first discovery, and I get this inner "wow, is this even real?"
.
Who are you, a traveler or a tourist?

If you are planning to visit Namibia someday, or choosing the best destination for your next vacations, this safari guide for you
The main Safari park in Namibia is called Etosha. Its main feature is that you are allowed to enter with your own vehicle. The price is the lowest for a safari that I've encountered. But more on all of this below.
What animals can you meet?
Almost all the main ones. It's difficult to find cheetahs and leopards. I also didn't see buffaloes and hippos. However, there are many rhinos, giraffes, and lions here. There are several lakes in the park where animals gather to drink and hunt.
️ When to go?
Most people go in June-August, and campsites nearby are not always available, so you have to look for more remote options. But this doesn't apply to you because now you've subscribed and know that it's better to book campsites in advance or go during the less touristy season - for example, May, September, and October.
Price
The entrance fee is only $10
Camping near the park is also $10/night
The rest - food and fuel - is about $30/day per person
For three days in the park, I spent about $150 in total, which is pennies compared to other safaris that I'll tell you about in future issues.
Why did I buy a new camera?
On my last trip, I took two cameras with me: a pocket-sized Fujifilm X100T and a Canon Mark 2. Both of them are morally outdated and no longer meet my creative needs. Additionally, carrying multiple lenses and chargers for them was really challenging. (They are heavy!)
Why did I choose Sony?
I have been considering Sony for a while because these cameras are well-regarded for video-making as well. Specifically, I chose the Sony a7s3 because it has good underwater housings available, allowing me to kill two birds with one stone.
Gradually, I will introduce it into my daily work and create even better content. For you and my new followers
What prompted me to travel to Cape Town? Reviews from my friends. They all spoke very positively about it and called it one of the best destinations. I simply trusted their opinion, but there is always a fear of being disappointed. It turned out to be for nothing. It's very beautiful, filled with wonderful places, and has magnificent nature. I am eagerly looking forward to returning there, even though the experience will not be the same. Without a doubt, Cape Town is one of the best tourist destinations available right now.
Cape Town, South Africa
