[MW DX] 1110 kHz WBT News Talk 1110 (Charlotte, NC, USA) 05.12.2019

Mention of North Carolina 0:21 --- "WBT broadcasts 50,000 watts around the clock as the only Class A clear-channel station in the Carolinas. Its transmitter site is a three-tower facility in south Charlotte, off Nations Ford Road. During daylight hours it uses a single non-directional antenna and is audible in much of the central Carolinas. At night, all three towers are used in a directional pattern that limits its signal toward the west, to avoid interfering with KFAB in Omaha, Nebraska, the other Class A station on the frequency. Even with this restriction, it can be heard across much of the eastern half of North America with a good radio." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WBT_(AM) Picture was taken from https://www.fybush.com/sites/2008/site-081205.html --- TX: 50 kW WBT (Charlotte, North Carolina, USA) QTH: MP87DA ANT: 280 m BOG directed to 350° RX: ICF-SW7600GR Received at 04-35 UTC (09-35 local time) on December 5th, 2019 in North-West Siberia, Russia
