RORQUALS - Mouth of the River (Field Recordings, Ambient, Noise, Drone, Improvisation)

Mouth of the River is my fourth piece in the series of tracks created using field recordings made whilst out walking. This one uses several recordings of large swarms of birds at Shoebury, Essex, at the mouth of the River Thames, hence the title. I had made these field recordings back in the summer months, and whilst I used birds in the last video of this series (Distorted Noise Goose), I didn't want to let these recordings go to waste. So I have gone for a slightly different approach with this piece and have attempted to use the melodic quality of the bird song, combined with a rumbly bass drone and string pads, and a beat that I personally think is pretty killer. It's definitely the most upbeat track I've put together for this series, quite different to the others but I hope you enjoy it. As usual, if you want a free download of the track, it'll be available through my Bandcamp here - https://rorquals.bandcamp.com/track/mouth-of-the-river-field-recordings-nov-20 Please check out the other field recording projects I have made if you like this. You'll find them here on Youtube and on Bandcamp - the tracks are called Tidal Transmission, Woodlands and Distorted Noise Goose. As always, thanks for listening and your ongoing support. Rob.
