KODAK STEP PRINTER CLEANING THE ZINK ROLLER
Cleaning the Zink Roller in your Kodak Step Printer With so many fantastic photos being printed, its possible that debris can build up in your printer. However, that’s no problem because cleaning your Kodak Step printer is just as easy as producing beautiful prints. Here’s how to clean the Zink roller in your printer. First, pick up a sheet of Zink paper, peel back at least 1 inch of the backing off the Zink paper, and tear it off the rest of the backing. Use a pencil and ruler to measure 1 inch of the backing if needed. Once 1 inch of the backing is torn off, a small area of adhesive on back of the paper should be revealed. Next, remove the paper cover from the printer to reveal the paper tray. Then, place the sheet of Zink paper into the paper tray with revealed area of adhesive facing down. Make sure the paper is inserted slightly into the feeding slot. This way the sensor is guaranteed to detect the paper for the printing process. After that, place the paper cover back on the printer. Once the printer is covered again, turn on the printer. The sheet you placed in the printer will start to feed through the roller. The revealed adhesive will clean the roller catching any pieces of debris it passes over. Once the sheet starts to print out, grab the end of the sheet and gently pull it out as it goes so the sheet doesn’t get stuck in the printer. Once the sheet has been fully printed out, you’re all done, and the Zink roller will be debris free. Now you can go back to your smooth photo-printing operation.
