ASI 2024 - Thursday Morning - Harold Lance - From Courtroom Trial Lawyer to Full-Time Volunteer

For thirty-two years, he served injured clients and families of deceased clients in State and Federal Courts, handling air crash, product failure, and accident cases. He conducted 146 jury trials from hundreds of cases. Concurrently, he served the Adventist Church in various roles, including Sabbath School Teacher, Elder, Hospital Board Member, and President of ASI, among others. In May 1989, this “Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers” left his law practice to become the full-time volunteer President of Outpost Centers International for nine years. Herald’s persosnal testimony will encourage and inspire you. Harold James Lance with his wife, Joan (Dirksen), have 3 children, Karen Smith, H. James Lance, and Julia Bergstrom. He earned a B.S. in Law (1954) and Juris Doctor (1955) from Willamette University. He served in the U.S. Army (1955-1961) as a Counter Intelligence Corp Special Agent.
