How to install wordpress locally on your PC via Xampp,Bitnami and Local
Hey, WhatsApp guys micro dev here, today we are going to learn how to install WordPress on your local machine. So there are three easy methods to install WordPress easily on your device. Bitnami Stack Xampp Server Locale By Flywheel In the last, I am going to tell you that which is best for your uses 1.Bitnami Stack So let’s install bitnami first, Open any browser and search for BItnami Download and download it for your device. Download Bitnami Stack - https://bitnami.com/stack/wordpress/installer Now Install it like another program by clicking next and next. 2. Xampp Let’s move on another method which is quite popular which is by Xampp server It actually creates a virtual server on your device because WordPress can't run without servers like pure HTML or script file. To install this just head towards to your browser and search for xampp and go to the download page and download it according to your requirement. Download Xampp Server - https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html Now Simply just install it. While it is installing just download WordPress from wordpress.org So now Open the xampp folder and then htdocs which is same as public_html folder in live server Now create an empty folder in this htdocs folder, I am creating it as first You can rename it on your own choice, nobody going to sue you! Now extract the WordPress file into this folder. Open this folder and you will see a WordPress folder open it and move all the files from WordPress folder to one step back by clicking CTRL+A and CTRL+X and paste it by clicking CTRL+V This may look like overwhelming but this is the way you can access your site easily otherwise you have to access it from localhost/first/wordpress Now open your browser and make sure that you have started your xampp server Go to localhost/first or whatever your folder name is It will open an installer page of WordPress, now open another tab and go to localhost/PHPMyAdmin Create a database for your website I am going to name this as "first" and you can give on your choice Now go to the installer page and choose your language then fill the details of the database and you set a password for admin and it will install WordPress on your selected path. Now you can log in to your dashboard This is how you can install WordPress via xampp server 3. Locale By Flywheel Now let’s look another way to install WordPress on your device which is my favourite and for WordPress project I always use it. Firstly download and install Flywheel - https://localwp.com/ After installing create your first site, you can choose a different type of Database and Server.
