The Hallgrímskirkja - Reykjavík

This is the Hallgrímskirkja. Built after Hallgrímur Pétursson, a Lutheran clergyman who wrote the Passion Hymns, traditional hymns in Iceland that's still used in many traditions and events in Icelandic families. It was commissioned in 1937 and begun construction in 1945 and was completed and opened in 1986. The design was meant to take resemblance to Icelands glaciers, lava rocks, and mountains. But to me, the design resembles, at least the very front, like the Hammer of Þór, Mjölnir. The wings lift up to the tower similar to some Mjölnir designs. The Pipe Organ inside was made by a German organ builder, Johannes Klais. The Organ Pjpes have 102 ranks, 72 stops, and 5,275 pipes, collectively weighing 15 metroc tons. That's a big pipe organ.
