The New World Economy — Not Global, But Interconnected. Valdai Discussion Club Session at SPIEF-2023
On June 15, a session of the Valdai Discussion Club titled “The New World Economy — Not Global, But Interconnected” took place as part of the business programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023. Featuring Andrey Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the session was held in Conference Hall G6 in Pavilion G of the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was open to all forum guests and was broadcast on the Club’s website. Traditionally, Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club, opened the Valdai session at SPIEF 2023. Speakers: Andrey Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Arvind Gupta, head and co-founder of the Digital India Foundation; Gong Jiong, Professor, Vice President for Research and Strategic Studies, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE); Benedict Weerasena, scientific director of the Bait al-Amanah think tank, Malaysia.
