Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo on the Future of Energy

Concerning the challenges of climate change and the possibility of abandonment of oil in favour of other types of energy, Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, Secretary General of OPEC, says that all of them will be required in the future. “Now we have to work with all parties, to have comprehensive, all-inclusive solutions. We insist that the oil and gas industry must be part of the solution.” He also adds that work on the transition to renewable types of energy is underway.
