Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Carrier ST 205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range D and it's mounted on this 14-inch, White Spoke Steel Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This one is a sturdy steel wheel, has the 8-spoke design by Dexstar and has a nice white powder coat finish over an e-coat primer for an excellent corrosion resistance. And we mention the wheel is made by Dexstar. Dexstar wheels are made in the USA. Now it does offer the beveled stud holes right here where your lug nuts go. These beveled stud holes help keep your wheels securely in place on your trailer hub. They'll eliminate the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now the tire that's on this, it is a Kenda Carrier radial tire, and a radial tire is built with double steel belts and full nylon plies which combined for superior function and long life. And the radial ply tire is great for highway use. Tread design on this, they do use a nice automotive grade, computer generated tread design. It has sipes which are cuts in the tire that channel water away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy or icy conditions. This is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on any other vehicles. This assembly does meet the DOT which is Department of Transportation specifications. Few measurements on this, the wheel itself, the diameter on the wheel will always be measured inside to inside so bead seat to bead seat. So on this one, it'll measure 14 inch diameter. The width on just the wheel by itself is 5 and a half inches wide. This wheel does have a bolt pattern of 5 on 4 and a half inches. And if you wanna measure a bolt pattern on this wheel because it has an odd number of lugs, in this case 5 lugs, what you'll do is pick any one of the holes. So you have 5 holes here. Let's say we pick this hole and then you'll measure from this hole across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to. So on this one, it'll measure 4 and a half inches. So it's a 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern. Pilot hole diameter which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel. This goes over the hub on your trailer. Diameter of this opening is 3.19 inches. Now this wheel and tire does not come with a center cap. If you do wanna put a center cap in there, just make sure you buy one that has the 3.19 inch diameter. This does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. The weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 2,200 pounds. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for Special Trailer, 205/75R14. The R designates that it is a radial design tire. Section width on this is gonna be 8.1 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 26.3. This tire is a load range D which means it's an 8-ply rated tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity of 2,200 pounds at 75 PSI. And the last thing I do wanna mention is most all the new trailer tires are coming through with a speed rating on them. And the speed rating will be right after the tire size we just went over. You'll see two numbers for a load index and then the letter M. Speed rating will be designated by a letter designation. So speed rating M will mean it's an 81 mile per hour tire. But that should do it for the review on this Kenda Carrier ST 205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range D, mounted on this 14-inch, White Spoke Steel Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern..
