October 23, 2022: Welcoming Spaces for All People
“Welcoming Spaces for All People” by Cameron Koenig-Barker The presenter believes that information is the first stepping stone to help individuals create affirming and welcoming spaces for all people. This presentation will utilize the presenter's personal experience as a queer trans man, research, and best practices to increase participants knowledge about gender. About the guest speaker: Cameron Koenig-Barker graduated with a Masters in Social Work and Public Administration in December of 2020. He's currently a provisionally licensed mental health therapist at Child Saving Institute. Prior to graduating, he worked with the Midland's Sexual Health Research Collaborative where he assisted in recruitment for a health survey of the LGBTQ+ Community in Nebraska and writing up the report of the findings.
