How To Run Games At EXTREME Resolutions - 8640p Half Life 2
Video requested by Reddit user xFADE48x after seeing my post on this. So here is a guide. For this, you need a program called GeDoSaTo, you're probably already aware of it. You can get the program from here. http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=gedosato Once you have run the update tool, you should then proceed to where you installed it or run it from a shortcut. The program did not create a shortcut for me, so I have to do it this way. Once you have the program up and running, you should activate it, although I think that it may be activated by default. You can edit the whitelist and add custom programs, but I haven't got round to doing this yet and it working. You can edit the settings to change what resolutions you want to play at. 8640p is not default for this, so I had to add it in manually. Just remember that this is incredibly demanding to run, even for a 10 year old game it is incredibly demanding at this resolution. My basic specs are just below this, and you can see how demanding this is. CPU - Core i7 4770k @ 3.5GHz stock w/ Corsair H60.
