Mom's House: Smart Home Show
I am finally finished with my Mom’s house and ready to walk you through the smart home installation, considerations, and automation. There were four considerations for control on this installation looking at the fact that this is new for my mother and that she would need to learn new habits over time. These controls were: • Physical – The wall switches provides the capability to turn the lights on and off when the internet is down and also cater to guests who may not know how everything works. • Digital – Everything can be controlled by the companion apps, in this case, Wyze, eWeLink, and Broadlink. • Voice – All the equipment is Alexa compatible and therefore can be controlled by voice commands • Automations – Many of the sensors and cameras have triggers for automation in the form of lights and notifications to enable visibility, security, and leisure.
