Glen Drive and Parker Avenue Railway Crossing, Vancouver, BC
Date & Time: January 12, 2020 @12:01pm. Locomotives: CN 8849, CN 5752, CN 3050 & CN 3903. This crossing is located on the CN Burrard Inlet Line. Railway Crossing Signal Info: Owner and Maintainer of these Railway Crossing Signals: CN Railway (Formerly BNSF Railway & BN Railway). Horn Setting: Quiet Zone. Glen Drive: RACO Cantilever on the left: 2.5 pairs of Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x20" light with a Harmon Fading LED, 2 pairs of WCH 12x20" lights with Harmon Fading LEDs and a Low-Pitched Siemens Electronic Bell. Gateless Mast on the right: An older Safetran Base, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs and a General Signals Type-1 Electronic Bell. Parker Avenue Signal (Not seen in the video): An older Safetran Base and 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs. These signals were installed by BN around the 1970s. All signals had RACO/Safetran 8" Incandescent lights and the RACO Cantilever signal also had a RACO Mechanical Bell. The near Gateless Mast signal could’ve had another RACO or Safetran Mechanical Bell which has since been replaced by the current General Signals Type-1 Electronic Bell around the late 1990s/early 2000s by BNSF. Between 2012 and 2014, the RACO Mechanical Bell was replaced. Around late 2016/early 2017, all of the RACO/Safetran 8" Incandescent lights were replaced. The reason for the quality change at about 3/4 of the video is because my iPhone 6's battery died at that point so I've used another phone (Google Pixel 3a XL) to record the rest of the train. Sorry for some shakiness in some parts of the video as well.
