Highschool Football: Coaches’ Corner – Season Wrap Up

COLUMBUS - The football season has come to an end as basketball now begins. In the final football edition of Coaches' Corner we look back at the season for all three Columbus High Schools and highlight their accomplishments. Watch game highlights, get the x’s and o’s, as well as exclusive insight from the head coaches Kurt Frenzen (Lakeview), Tyler Linder (Scotus), and Craig Williams (Columbus), in the full-length show below: Segment 1 – LAKEVIEW (0:0010:02): The Vikings ended the season with an intense rivalry match against eventual state champions Scotus. Lakeview improved from last year by going 4-5, and look to build on the positives for next season despite losing some great seniors. Segment 2 – COLUMBUS (10:0218:23): The Discoverers will return to Class B in 2016 after falling to Millard South in their final game of the season. While young this season, the outlook for next year is bright as Columbus High will bring back 19 starters. Segment 3 – SCOTUS (18:2333:24): It was the season that the Shamrocks were hoping for. Scotus's group of 20 returning seniors led the Shamrocks to the Class C-1 State Title, and third in school history. We recap the state final against Norfolk Catholic and Linder reflects on the Scotus football program's special season.
