Curtis Bush | Kickboxing Highlights

Curtis "The Explosive Thin Man" Bush Born: 27/06/1962 Height: 1.83 m (6 ft) Division: Middleweight/Welterweight Fighting Style: Tang Soo Do Kickboxing Record: 42-10-2 (30 KOs) [2 NCs] Boxing Record: 12-5-2 (10 KOs) Major Titles: WKA World Super Welterweight Champion, ISKA World Welterweight / Super Welterweight / Light Middleweight Champion Curtis Bush was a young pro when he earned an upset victory over undisputed lightweight champ Cliff Thomas. It was a sign of future greatness. Throughout his 17-year career, the lanky Virginian collected no less than five kickboxing world titles, as well as four national and regional ones, and two USBA boxing championships. Unusually tall for his weight class, he leveraged his height advantage into a technical fighting style that mixed his educated handiwork with flashy backfists and spinning kicks. About three-quarters of his wins came by way of knockout. Bush retired from competition in 1999, with a kickboxing record of 42-10-2. He currently works as an actor and behavioral therapist in Hawaii. --------- Photo by Steve Ealey, The Virginian Pilot https://www.pilotonline.com/sports/article_8b1fbaac-8e5b-513b-b143-2919dadca4bc.html
