Without hyperbole I can say that this is the greatest creation the HLA workshop has ever been blessed with, and has earned a superlative 11/10 rating to set it apart. I have played shorter campaigns at this level of quality, and campaigns as long as this one but lacking in the polish seen here. Not only does this map blow you away at every turn, introduces numerous new mechanics, makes scavenging fun again, and hits you with all types of new puzzles, but it does all this while feeling like a kickass expansion to the Half-Life universe at the level of one of my old favorites, Opposing Force. Just like Adrian Shepard's adventure in OpFor, I now consider Dr. Smithers' quest to get to Fiji a part of Half-Life lore. What always made the Half-Life series special is that each new game introduced new mechanics, interactions, and a feeling that you are experiencing something different, special, immersive, and in a class all its own in the genre. This campaign does all of that, and absolutely deserves the 11/10 rating. #gaming #halflife #vr
