Braun SK 2b tube radio restoration - part 1. Yes, I do have favourites :)

This is another in the series of iconic radios that Braun launched decades ahead of its time. It is associated with the Dieter Rams design era, although I believe it actually came out prior to this legendary designer's joining the company. It certainly represents a break with tradition at the time, and even now seems to stand as a symbol of modern, tasteful design. This radio, together with a number of Dieter Rams' designs, is featured in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) so that should give you an idea of why these little guys have achieved a cult following and their price has rocketed in recent years. The condition of this radio is far from pristine, but with a lot of work (or play), we should be able to bring it back into the limelight. Hope you enjoy the series.
