Ed-Talks with Amitabh - Featuring Ms. Rita Chatterjee
We are excited to have Ms. Rita Chatterjee, a dynamic and popular Principal and Administrator of Apeejay Group of Schools as our next guest on 'Ed-Talks with Amitabh' hosted by Eminent Educationist and Celebrity Psychologist, Mr. Amitabh Mohan. Ms. Rita Chatterjee completed her education from Calcutta University and did a PhD in Communicative English. She joined Apeejay School as a teacher in 1981. Her hardwork and dedication led her to become the Head of The School in few years. She has immensely contributed to the development and growth of Apeejay Group of Institutions. She is deeply committed to the cause of Child Rights, specially for the underprivileged section of society. She encourages schools to be inclusive and sensitive to the needs of the specially abled children. She has spearheaded important projects and held responsible postions in the field of Education. She was the Centre Nodal Superintendent for SSSE & AISSCE from 2004 to 2015. She is currently President of the Sahodaya Schools Complex, Kolkata chapter. She is the Resource Person as appointed by CBSE for various CBSE organised CCE & FA workshops. She is the City Coordinator for various All India Level conducted Examinations - CTET, JEE, UGC, NEET. She was nominated by CBSE, as part of the team visiting Hanban, China, to represent CBSE Schools of Eastern India. Ms. Rita Chatterjee has several awards and accolades to her credit. She received a Certificate of Honour ( 2003) from Scholastic India on the occasion of Teachers’ Day for commendable contribution on suggestions to improve the education system. She received Vidya bhushan samman (2005) from the International Association of Lions Club ; Best Principal Award (2005) from 8th National Science Olympiad Foundation; Long Service Award (2006) from Apeejay Surrendra group for 25 years of continuous dedicated service. CBSE award to mentors (2011-12) for commendable services as mentor of outstanding merit, monitoring newly affiliated schools towards implementation of continuous & comprehensive evaluation( c.c.e) in schools. Merit Award (2012) at the 20th annual National Sahodaya Conference at Amritsar for outstanding work in implementation of CCE.
