Water Test - LifeProof Fre for the iPad Air - iPad cases
Everything about the iPad Air - http://bit.ly/LifeProofFreiPadAirPlaylist The New LifeProof Fre is out for the iPad Air! This case is one of the few heavy-duty cases that provide both water and shock protection for the iPad Air. From our close examination of this iPad case, we did notice that it's not much different than the LifeProof Fre for the iPad mini. According to LifeProof, this case is waterproof up to 6.6ft/1.2 m for 1 hour, is totally sealed from dirt, dust, sleet, ice, snow and shock proof up to 4 feet/1.2 m. The water test performed did not reveal any leaks in the case which is a good thing given that this is one of the most expensive cases tat we've purchased for review. The case is designed to meet MIL-STD 810F-516 and IP-68. The case adds 10mm to the iPad Air and increases the weight of the case by 200g. Included in the box is the addition of an uninstallation tool that aids in taking the heavy-duty case apart which is a great addition to the case. We've discovered that the LifeProof Fre for the iPad Air is almost identical to it's smaller cousin, the LifeProof Fre for the iPad Mini. One of the things that we noticed was the "rain-bowing effect" of the other Fre's still plague this case which is a bit disappointing and the screen protector has a tendency to diffuse the clarity of the iPad Air's Retina Screen. The back of the case is similar to the LifeProof Nuud iPad cases that we've reviewed previously. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mobile Reviews Eh?
