FED-2 Camera Industar-26m 2.8/50 Leather Case USSR 1956 Ukraine Leica copy
Set includes all original leather case, front lens cap and take-up spool. Casing is intact, aperture are working, shutter speeds 1/50, 1/100, 1/250 and 1/500 looks correct. I haven't tested with film. Some of the shortcomings I have noticed are: the cocking of the shutter works strangely - with slippage, I showed it on the video. 1/25 and B works with curtain delay. There are bent front edge of lens with filter thread and bent lens cap, frayed threads on the case, stains on the body and lenses and other traces of time, small stain on the front lens etc. Please see photos ad video. Synchronization port is located on the front of the body. It is possible to change the shutter speed either before or after cocking the shutter. The Fed 2 was a major breakthrough in the history of the FEDs. Its main advantages over the Fed I were: Ultra-wide 67mm rangefinder particularly suitable to the use of tele lenses. Cast (and bright) viewfinder and rangefinder. Excellent grip while kept compact and pleasant. Removable back for quick film loading. This model equipped with a round window has a true advantage: Shutter speed can be modified before or after film advance. Fed writing is in Cyrillic. The lens Industar 26 will be assigned until the 1960s. It has handy belt clips. A flash sync is also available on the front of the housing. In the opinion of many, it is the most functional and most attractive variation of the Fed II.
