As the title declares, we are talking about the second Nawab of independent nawabi era of Bengal. Suja Uddin was son in law of Murshid quli khan the first nawab of bengal. Murshid Quli married his three daughters to Suja Uddin Khan. So for not having a Son or direct hair for Bengal throne Murshid Quli was forced to accept Suja Uddin as the next nawab of bengal after him. But actually Murshid Quli was reluctant to pass the throne to Suja Uddin as he preferred Sarfaraj (son of Suja Uddin , grandson of Murshid Quli) over Suja. Although Suja was not in favour of going against his own son but Influenced by his most trusted counselor Alivardi Khan finally Suja went against Sarfaraj and prevailed.
