The Laboratory for Carbon-Based Materials and Spin-Dependent Optical Phenomena in Wide Band Gap
In October 2019, Google announced it had designed a 53-qubit quantum computer that needs only 200 seconds to solve a problem that would take the world’s fastest supercomputer 10,000 years to figure out! Routing, neural networks, artificial intelligence — all this will be given an incredible boost! This will have crucial implications also for medicine and pharmaceutical manufacturing. This can shed more light on how we are affected by different viruses and much more. As quantum technologies continue to attract attention from the Russian researchers, more studies unfold is the field of fundamental science and trial application of the quantum products. To facilitate these studies, the Northern Arctic Federal University has established the Laboratory for Carbon-Based Materials and Spin-Dependent Optical Phenomena in Wide Band Gap Semiconductors. Its team is currently working with single-crystal diamond plates with NV centers.
