Panasonic SDR H40P Camcorder HDD Removal
I looked everywhere for instructions on how to remove the hard drive on this camera so i made my own. Instructions are posted below and should apply to most if not all HDD camcorders. Tools Required: #000 Phillips head screwdriver 3/64 inch flathead screwdriver Patience Step 1: Locate and unscrew the 6 Phillips head screws on the right side of the camera. 2 are located on the bottom of the camera and 4 on the 2 sides Step 2: Run Flathead screwdriver gently around the top of the camera releasing the snaps and the cover should come off Step 3: Remove 5 screws to release the HDD Enclosure. The locations are Bottem Left, Top left, Top middle (2), and top right Step 4: Slide the HDD Enclosure out towards the front of the camera getting it out of the tab for the zoom slider and flip it towards you Step 5: Disconnect ZIF Cable and remove the 4 screws on the side of the hdd (I didnt remove it because i didnt need to) Step 6: Reassemble
