How to arrange flowers like a pro

In this video, Shannon takes us through her Euclid Farm gardens as she chooses flowers to use to create a gorgeous floral arrangement, using a mason jar for the vase. First up, she recommends using a good sharp pair of garden shears (disinfect them first). Then, we wander with her as she gathers flowers to make a lavender, white and peaches arrangement. The flowers we see her cut are: Delphinium Russian sage Apple of Peru Cosmos Sweet peas Dahlias …and more As she cuts, Shannon shares her tips for trimming stems (longer is better), which cosmos to choose to last longer in the vase, and what kind of container she’s had the most success growing snapdragons in. Next up she shows us how to start building a flower arrangement, including how to crisscross stems to create a foundation, and how to evaluate your design as you go. And we’ll finish up by trimming the stems to the right height, evaluating the final arrangement, making some final touches and then admiring the beauty of a gorgeous floral design!
