There is some setup, but note that this is not a fully optimized party nor did it use anywhere near all of the resources available. This is one of the penultimate endgame encounters on the highest Unfair difficulty. As a disclaimer, the game is enjoyable and you very well might not hit these sorts of problems at all if you're not min/maxing at least a bit. But this is the current state of alpha strikes as of now.
