LG G2 with Miracast on 42" TV, OTG & Windows 7 (via Splashtop Remote Desktop)
LG G2 with Miracast on 42" TV, OTG & Windows 7 (via Splashtop Remote Desktop). In this video I demonstrate how to get Windows 7 on a 42" TV with real mouse control. The setup is a laptop running Windows 7, from here the desktop is streamed via "Splashtop Remote Desktop" to the phone - LG G2 android running the Splashtop android app. On the LG G2 I have Miracast activated, so it streams the phones picture on to a 42" TV with a Miracast HDMI dongle. I then also have connected a wireless mouse via a OTG cable to the LG G2. So I then have real mouse control. For most things the setup is good. For videos, it has some lag because of Miracast. Miracast uses a streaming technology, so it has some lag. If I run videos via DLNA then there is no lag, but with DLNA I can not stream the exact 1:1 picture from the LG G2 to the TV, and then also not show the Splashtop remote desktop. For a nice collection of LG G2 replacement screens, backcovers, camera, antenna, cases, digitizer, etc. check out http://tinyurl.com/lg-g2-d802
