75/100 Hey Jude - The Beatles, 100 Days of Ukulele Songs 2020
75/100 Hey Jude - The Beatles ❤️🎶 Happy 3/4 through the challenge to everyone on Day 75 today and congrats to everyone, no matter where you are in this challenge! 🥳🎉 I really wanted to perform a special song for Day 75.. I have been working on this song for about 2 months now. It’s a song I started playing single strums with only the easy cords to Cynthia’s play along and slowly grew from there. I remember thinking I’d never be good enough to play this song. The rock strum doesn’t come easy to me so it was only within the past few weeks I actually tried to really start practicing this song with the rock strum. I wouldn’t even be able to tell you how many hours I’ve spent on this song over the past 2 months but I’m definitely considering Hey Jude my greatest ukulele achievement thus far. When I started playing uke the two songs I really wanted to learn were Hey Jude and Here Comes The Sun (hopefully I’ll be able to do the latter by the end of the challenge). I worked so hard on this one and I was so overwhelmed with emotions after about 10 or so takes when I finally got to the end Na Na Nas without mistakes. This is by far my favorite song that I’ve played so far and achievement I am most proud of. Thank you so much to everyone for all the support, likes, comments, encouragement and helpful tips throughout this journey. This challenge and community have been the saving grace of my quarantine/stay at home period these last 3 months and I am looking forward to cherishing the last 25 days as much as possible.
