Tekken 2 - Arcade (1995)

This is why it's hard for me to go backwards. It's smooth, but not in a way that made sense to me. It prevented me from really getting into 3D games while they were getting hot. I know that Tekken's selling point was realistic, varying fighting styles with smooth action, but to pick up and play? It hadn't quite reached that point yet. You really had to know your characters fighting style, setups/openers, and follow ups. If you didn't know them, you weren't going to stumble across them accidentally. That's something that Tekken 3 fixed for me.
