Surbias Versus Shinzu! - AMX-50 Surbaissé - War Thunder Gameplay (Double Ace Match)
Within the last week or so I was able to unlock the last tank in game that I was missing (AMX-30 B2), so with just 2 Rank 5 aircraft to work on (which I think will have their RP requirements dropped soontm) I've been taking my time working on them and checking out some other games. This footage was from about 2 weeks ago whilst using the French 7.7 BR lineup I've been using for the last bit of the grind. The AMX-50 Surbaissé is an interesting tank to use although it has several flaws which make it more like a glass cannon when compared to a "regular" MBT. Though arguably armour is a moot point in War Thunder from about 5.3 BR upwards due to HEATFS and only really at 9.3 BR does armour mean anything again. The gun is the main obvious strength of the unit, though speed and mobility suffer when you consider the previous AMX tanks of similar design. The auto-loader provides you with plenty of shots - if you get a chance to use them, taking more than 1 clip is incredibly dangerous as the rounds are large and will detonate quite easily (even when hit in the inert part of the shell))). Also the side turret armour is virtually flat and quite thin with "racked" rounds for the gun at the very back (again a similar hazard), coupled with the "lack" of a stabilzation system for the gun and you're in for a painful grind for Spare Parts & FPE (more so considering Rank 5 module RP requirements)))). No Time Stamping. Not much editing on this one, Yogi's game crashed and he attempted to reconnect; I've left this in to show he at least was able to get into the battle. Audio intact, YogiDaBjorn, Craig and . Music: Tracks are from the Moobot secondary playlist, Star Trek: Into Darkness OST (if I'm not mistaken).
