How to Jailbreak iOS 5-iOS 5.1.1 (ft. Redsn0w)(DFU Ramdisk Method)
----------------------------------------Description--------------------------------------- Hello everyone! In this video I will be showing you how to jailbreak iOS 5, iOS 5.0.1, iOS 5.1, and iOS 5.1.1 all using Redsn0w. I will be showing you the DFU Ramdisk method but I will have a link below for the backup/restore method when it is finished. Backup/Restore Method: (Video not Finished Yet) ----------------------------------------Instructions--------------------------------------- 1. Backup your iDevice 2. Download and Open Redsn0w 3. Click "Jailbreak" 4. Click "Yes" on the pop-up windows 5. Plug in your iDevice and Turn it off 6. Click "Next" 7. Follow on-screen directions to put your device into DFU Mode * At this point it will prepare the jailbreak data 8. When prompted, make sure you have at least "Install Cydia" selected and click "Next" * Then it will finish jailbreaking your iDevice 9. After it Reboots your device, You can exit out of Redsn0w * At this point, a lot of white text will be popping up on the screen of your iDevice, DON'T PANIC, just wait it out until the pineapple picture pops up. Then you'll have to wait for that. The "Moving Applications" portion can take like 10 minutes so just be patient. 10. On your iDevice, go to Cydia and Tap "Developer" and Tap "Done" *Wait for your "Changes" to update 11. Tap "Upgrade Essential" when the pop-up appears that says "5 Essential Upgrades" 12. When they are done upgrading, tap "Close Cydia" 13. Reopen Cydia 14. Search for "Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether" 15. Install the untether 16. Go back to the "Changes" tab and finished upgrading the rest of the upgrades available. 17. Tada!!!
