Street Viewing I-88 East On Apple Maps
This is a virtual drive of I-88 East from The Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355) To The Tri State Tollway (I-294) & The Eisenhower Expressway (I-290). Our journey starts at the interchange with Ogden Avenue & I-355, which was completed in the late 1980’s, and runs beside it briefly before going their separate ways. From there I-355 continues through Lombard and Addison, ending at the merge with I-290, which then continues to I-90, becomes IL-53, and then terminates at Lake Cook Road. As for I-88, it passes through Oak Brook Center and adjacent towns of Downers Grove & Lombard. As of now, the Illinois Tollway has gone all electronic after their first All Electronic Tollway was built, which will be covered in a future video. Once we reach the ramps for I-294 South, there was construction at the time the pictures were taken, but the construction is actually fully finished. After the ramps with I-294 North & I-290 West, I-88 then terminates at a merge with I-290 East, which then continues toward Downtown Chicago, and then becomes Ida B.
