Vermilion Pt. 2 (Slipknot - Cover)
Thank you to Kaisla for this request, I will get to the other two down the line! Slipknot. My musical evolution went something like this - Sash, Nirvana, Fragma, KoRn, Christy Moore, Tom Waits, Basshunter, Bruce Springsteen. So, totally normal. As you can see I was a metalhead at one point though Slipknot were never really front and centre for me. I didn’t go for screaming vocals above all else. Nowadays though I’d only listen to KoRn and other metal groups out of nostalgia, whereas Slipknot have actually entered my heavy rotation. Lyrically and musically, they were so far ahead of many other metal bands and I can appreciate this now. Alongside Metallica, they are one of the only metal bands I get excited to hear a new album from. So glad I could finally cover them here. Also this somehow marks my 150th upload.
