As part of its ongoing management of water flows, the state Department of Water Resources began increasing outflows from the still-damaged Lake Oroville spillway on Friday. The gates were opened at 11 a.m. as outflows are ramped up to 50,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) over a several-hour period, according to California Department of Water Resources acting director Bill Croyle.
