Hugo II: Whodunit? any% - 10:35.09
Hugo II: Whodunit version 1.0S, DOSBox version 0.74 using auto cycles. Auto cycles (or 3000 constant) is used to normalize any PC speaker sounds, which become warped with excess cycles. There's extra delay between rooms but it doesn't detract much. Time starts on first frame after the first text box appears (the one that starts "Press enter"). Time ends at the beginning of the first text box after the last command (which in this run is "pushpencilkey"). This might look sloppy later on, but after the snake bite you're actually forced to wait until the second snake bite message pops up ("That snake bite is REALLY starting to smart...") so anything after the snake bite isn't actually wasted time. That said, there are a few seconds before the snake bite I could squeeze out of this run, but this is easily the least interesting to grind, what with all the walking and not doing much. There are some funny visual glitches if you pay close attention, though!
